OPENLOCK · FIRST WORKFLOW

Make one business workflow ready for AI.

Start with a recurring question that crosses systems and depends on what your people know. Discuss the records, explanations, review owners, and access boundaries a useful first workflow would need.

OpenLock is developing a customer-controlled Business Nervous System: a foundation designed to keep reviewed business knowledge useful as people, systems, and AI models change. Capabilities and commitments are established for each engagement.

Discuss your first workflow

A discovery conversation to assess fit and scope. No production deployment, price, or delivery date is implied.

01 DEFINE THE QUESTION

A small scope with a meaningful result.

AI readiness

Information is spread across ERP, CRM, documents, and spreadsheets. Identify the approved sources and definitions one useful answer requires.

Knowledge continuity

Your team repeatedly explains exceptions. Explore how explanations could become reviewed knowledge with an owner, evidence, and a review date.

Customer control

You want to choose AI tools without losing business meaning. Discuss access, export, correction, retention, and model requirements before implementation.

02 WHAT TO BRING

The question, the people, and the boundaries.

  1. A high-level recurring business question and why it matters.
  2. The systems and roles involved, including an internal owner who can review meaning.
  3. An example of a useful result and the evidence needed to check it.
  4. Requirements for access, deployment, retention, and approved AI providers.

Do not send confidential records or credentials in the inquiry. Detailed access and information-sharing arrangements belong in a separately agreed engagement.

03 ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

“Can we promise this customer’s order?”

An ERP shows stock, a spreadsheet records a quality hold, and a colleague knows that one customer cannot use an alternative part. Connecting the files is only a start: the answer also needs current source evidence and an authorized interpretation of which stock is eligible.

A scoped first workflow could surface the disagreement, return a question to the responsible person, and preserve an approved explanation for permitted reuse. This is an illustrative design, not a customer result or an operating production system.

04 THE NEXT STEP

Decide what is worth validating.

The first discussion is intended to establish fit: a real operating problem, accessible source owners, an internal decision owner, and a practical scope. Potential engagement outputs, responsibilities, acceptance criteria, costs, and timing are agreed before implementation.

A discovery inquiry is not a commitment to purchase. OpenLock can discuss whether to proceed, narrow the problem, or use capabilities you already have.
